Casey Dahl, my friend and mentor , pictured above , introduced me to the wonderful world of the Shar Pei in 1992 and my interest and love for this breed has continued to grow. We enjoy a wonderful friendship although living 3000kms apart and together we continue to learn more about the Shar Pei on a continuing basis thanks to Telstra!

Minke was from Casey's first Shar Pei litter and titled on Valentines day 1993, a record at eight months of age. Minke amassed well over enough points to make her a Grand Champion today.

Together we won numerous Best in Show and Group awards and Minke was the first Shar Pei in Australia to win a Best Exhibit in Show at an All Breeds show. Her charming personality endeared her to all that were fortunate to meet her. Her coat , her style and movement certainly caught the eye of many judges , she was exceptional for her time.

Misty was lost late in 2002 in the midst of a horrendous thunderstorm and found 7 weeks later. We lovingly refer to her as our "Feral Kid". I have made a list of things to do if you lose your dog , the article can be found here.

Pebbles holiday in Australia has ended and she is now back in New Zealand where she has gained her New Zealand title. Thankyou Chuck for allowing her time in Oz!

I have a great love for the Shar Pei and enjoy showing them immensely, (they don't run as fast as Rottweilers!!) I have been very fortunate with my foundation animals , we experience extreme heat & humidity in the tropics and I have only had animals with super temperaments & coats, this helps to make showing a breeze.

We were very fortunate in accessing the services of Michael Trafford who in my opinion is one of the worlds best Canine Photographers to do our photo shoot for the dogs above. They were photographed in May at the end of a long hot and humid wet season so the coats certainly are not at their best but given the conditions , still show very good coats.

Dobromil Yao Tien is the very latest youngster to join us at Tcharkuldu, he will I am sure follow in the footsteps of Dobromil Chia Jen who appears in his pedigree. To see the rest of the Dobromil Family, please click on the link Banner below.
