My interest lie not only in the show ring, I have held executive positions with the Rottweiler Club of South Australia and have been an elected delegate for the National Rottweiler Council for three states. I was also an active member of the South Australian Canine Association prior to my departure to the Northern Territory from Adelaide in 1995 to undertake further business studies. I served as a Councillor & Vice President of the North Australian Canine Association from 1999 to early 2006 when I retired from Council. I am a Rottweiler and Shar Pei Specialist Judge. I am also licenced to Judge the Utility Group (6), Hound Group (4) and Non Sporting Group (7). I have judged the Utility Group in most states of Australia and also New Zealand. I have Judged Rottweiler Specialty Shows in Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Malaysia and the USA. I have attended numerous Rottweiler Specialty Shows and Seminars throughout Australia and Europe and have spent a lot of time learning from some of the great guardians of the breed. I was approved to Judge the Working group in the USA in July 2003 , my licence number 28551. I place great importance on my ring manner and believe that each and every exhibitor should leave the show ring feeling comfortable with their results, should they win or not. Yvonne Van der Horst
